eSIM Installation Guide

Follow the steps for your device type to activate your WeSIM eSIM.

💡 Before you start: Make sure you have iOS 12.1 or later and your iPhone is carrier-unlocked. You'll need another device to scan the QR code.

Installing eSIM on iPhone

Method 1: QR Code (Recommended)

Open Settings on your iPhone

Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data in some regions)

Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan

Select Use QR Code — display your QR code on another device and scan it

Tap Continue on the plan details screen

Give your eSIM a label (e.g. "WeSIM Turkey") and tap Done

Method 2: Manual Entry

If you can't scan the QR code, use the activation code from your email:

  1. Go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM
  2. Tap Enter Details Manually
  3. Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code from your email
  4. Follow the prompts to complete setup

Enabling Data

Select your WeSIM plan and enable Turn On This Line

Enable Data Roaming under your WeSIM plan

Set WeSIM as your Default Data Line when traveling
⚠️ Important: Your data plan validity starts when you first connect to the local network — not when you install the eSIM. Install it before your trip without worrying!

Compatible iPhone Models

iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, SE (2nd/3rd Gen), 12 series, 13 series, 14 series, 15 series, and all newer models.

💡 Before you start: Ensure your iPad is Wi-Fi + Cellular model and running iPadOS 12.1 or later.

Installing eSIM on iPad

  1. Open Settings → Cellular Data
  2. Tap Add Cellular Plan
  3. Scan the QR code from your WeSIM email (use another device to display it)
  4. Tap Add Cellular Plan to confirm
  5. Label your plan and tap Done

Enabling Data

  1. Go to Settings → Cellular Data
  2. Select your WeSIM plan
  3. Enable Cellular Data and Data Roaming

Compatible iPad Models

iPad Pro (all 2018+), iPad Air (3rd Gen+), iPad Mini (5th Gen+), iPad (7th Gen+), and newer models with cellular capability.

💡 Before you start: Android eSIM setup varies by manufacturer. Make sure your device is carrier-unlocked and supports eSIM.

General Android Setup

  1. Open Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections)
  2. Tap SIM cards or Mobile Network
  3. Tap Download a SIM or Add eSIM
  4. Scan the QR code from your WeSIM email
  5. Follow on-screen instructions to activate
  6. Enable Data Roaming on the new eSIM
⚠️ Note: Menu names may differ depending on your Android version and device manufacturer. Look for options like "Add mobile plan", "Download SIM", or "Add eSIM".

APN Settings

Some operators require manual APN configuration. If data doesn't work after activation:

  1. Go to Settings → Network → Mobile Network → APN
  2. Add the APN provided in your WeSIM email
  3. Save and restart your device
💡 Compatible models: Galaxy S20 and newer, Galaxy Z Fold/Flip series, Galaxy Note20 series, and Galaxy Watch 4+.

Installing eSIM on Samsung Galaxy

  1. Go to Settings → Connections → SIM card manager
  2. Tap Add mobile plan
  3. Tap Scan carrier QR code
  4. Scan the QR code from your WeSIM email
  5. Tap Confirm to add the plan
  6. Enable Data roaming for the WeSIM line

Setting as Default Data

  1. Go to Settings → Connections → SIM card manager
  2. Tap Mobile data
  3. Select your WeSIM eSIM for data
💡 Compatible models: Google Pixel 3 and all newer Pixel phones support eSIM.

Installing eSIM on Google Pixel

  1. Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs
  2. Tap Download a SIM instead? or the + button
  3. Tap Next and scan the QR code from your WeSIM email
  4. Tap Activate to complete setup
  5. Enable Roaming under your new WeSIM plan

Troubleshooting Pixel eSIM

If the eSIM doesn't activate, try:

  • Restart your device after scanning the QR code
  • Check that your Pixel is carrier-unlocked
  • Ensure you're connected to Wi-Fi during setup
  • Contact support if issues persist
